This Migiwata twist drill bit set are designed for general purpose. They can be used in drilling soft metal (thin sheet iron) aluminum wood plastic and other materials for household DIY work etc.

Coated with titanium nitride a very hard ceramic material the cutting life of twist drill bits will be extended by three and more times than ordinary high speed steel bits.
Even after sharpening the leading edge of coating still provides improved cutting and lifetime.

Each piece of twist drill bit comprises a cutting point at the tip of a cylindrical shaft with helical flutes.
The helical flute will lift swarf out of the hole to keep drilling work going on.

The cylindrical shaft or shank of each twist drill bit is straight which is compatible with 3 jaw standard power drill and can also be held in a collet chuck (which must be tightened) particularly for smaller sizes.
Additionally straight shank is very accurate centering compared with other shank types like hex shank brace shank etc.
